Software and Fonts

The Bertha language is a tonal language that means in the Bertha orthography the tone is marked on the vowels. Additionally to the tone there is an additional letter Ñ, ñ which is not part of a standard English Keyboard. To make typing easy a special Keying program (Keyboard) was developed. You are welcome to download the BG Keyboard Program on this page (6.4 MB), unpack, run the ‘FreeKey Benishangul Gumuz Keyboard’ and follow the instructions.

There is also a set of fonts which were used for development of educational materials available. In order to see those materials correctly, we recomend to install these fonts before opening the documents
